The Aeropress coffee & espresso maker uses total immersion and gentle pressure to produce coffee with extraordinarily rich flavor. Not only can it make American style coffee, it can also produce an espresso-style extraction.Because of the lower temperature and short brew time, the acid level of the brew is much lower than conventional brewers.
Included : 350 paper filters.
Extraction Method 1 (espresso) :
1.Place filter inside the screen and rinse with hot water.
2.Rinse the infusion chamber + cup, then dry.
3.Add 1 scoop of finely ground coffee in the chamber, then tap or shake to ensure a flat surface.
4.Add hot water (93ºC) to levels ; 2 or 2 1/2.
5.Stir for 5 to 10 seconds.
6.Insert plunger in the chamber and press down for 15 to 20 seconds using even and steady pressure.
7.Rinse & clean the Aeropress immediately after use. (Keep plunger fully pressed into chamber after rinsing).
Extraction Method 2 (drip coffee) :
1.Follow steps #1 though 2 of Method 1.
2.Add 1 scoop of medium ground coffee in the chamber, then tap or shake to ensure a flat surface.
3. Add hot water (93 ºC) to level ; 4.
4.Stir for 5 to 10 seconds.
5.Insert plunger in the chamber and press down half a centimeter then pull up 1/2 of a centimer (to stop dripping)
6.Let steep 30-45 seconds.
7.Start to draw down for 20 to 30 seconds using even and steady pressure.
8.Same as Step 7 of Method 1.
