Honduras has become Central America’s largest specialty coffee producing country following years of government intervention and investment in coffee development. This particular SHG EP coffee comes from a small cooperative of producers from the Copán region who also specialize in cocoa and spices. The farmers pride themselves on using traditional production methods which were first introduced by French and German immigrants.
They also use premiums obtained from their coffee sales to invest in their community schools and facilitate access to clean drinking water.
This coffee offers a naturally sweet cup with fruity notes along with light body and acidity.
