This remarkable Indonesian coffee offers a unique flavor of democracy and freedom. Proudly grown in a natural environment without insecticides or pesticides, on rich volcanic soil surrounded by wild vegetation, it is of a nobility which requires to be recognized. From hectare to hectare, working from one sunrise to the next, thirty families from the village of Watujaji come together in a cooperative. The name of their collective project: ‘’ Sinar Tani ’’ / ‘’ Lumière paysanne ’’. Here, everyday life draws its inspiration from a wisdom inherited from the ancestors of a tribal culture "matrilineal", that is to say that the property belongs to women and is transmitted from mother to daughter. On the palate, the coffee is both intense yet sweet with subtle fruity notes of plums, blueberries and spices such as pepper and curry.
