ETHIOPIA ANDERACHA HONEY GRADE 1CUP PROFILEAnderacha is considered one of the best Arabica coffees grown in Ethiopia. To the taste, it is refined with delicate notes of hibiscus, cherry, peach nectar, cinnamon and black Cavendish.
ABOUT THE ESTATEThe estate covers a total of 276 hectares including 237 hectares in coffee plantation. In an effort to maintain local ecology and biodiversity, the plantation leaves 39 hectares under forest and as a buffer zone for waterways while the remaining 8 hectares are reserved for infrastructure.
A RESPONSIBLE HARVESTIn order to maintain biodiversity and prevent land degradation, coffee trees are grown under the shade of native trees (such as Wanza, Albizzia, Acacia and Ficus) in Sheka Forest, a designated biosphere reserve by the UNESCO. The effluents from the washing stations are recycled while the pulp and parchment are used respectively as compost and fuel for the artificial dryers.
TORREFAZIONE ARTIGIANALE GRANITODeveloped over more than four decades of sourcing, roasting and cupping expertise, our TAG roasting technique reveals a single origin coffee’s individual characteristic through complete caramelization of the sugars contained in its beans.
